In this unfiltered, sharp-witted, and hugely entertaining memoir, Gift Grub’s Mario Rosenstock invites listeners behind the microphone to explore the unique journey that made him one of Ireland’s most distinctive comedic voices. From his formative years in rural Waterford to an unexpected and often serendipitous rise in entertainment, Mario traces the defining moments, risks, and instincts that have shaped his rollercoaster career.
With trademark hilarity and candour, he reveals the creative process behind his iconic impressions and reflects on the evolution of Irish satire over the decades. Along the way, readers are treated to vivid behind-the-scenes stories, hilarious and memorable encounters with well-known personalities – from Jose Moruinho to Roy Keane and Gay Byrne - and the many wonderful highs and lows of life in the public eye.
Blending laugh-out-loud moments with genuine introspection, Gift Grub & Me is more than a comedy memoir – it’s a portrait of an artist driven by curiosity, resilience, and a keen ear for the absurd. Insightful, warm, and irresistibly funny, this is an essential read for fans and newcomers alike.
